Our coffee habit started getting a little more interesting when we began walking the dogs to our neighborhood coffee shop.
We got to know the people behind the counter. They started teaching us about beans, roasting, and why one cup could taste completely different from another.
When that location closed, we started exploring a different coffee shop almost every Saturday. Sometimes with the dogs. Sometimes with books and laptops. Usually with more coffee than we probably needed.
Somewhere along the way, coffee became more than our morning caffeine.
Now we're building Tilly Beans to share a little of that experience.
We love good packaging. We've spent an embarrassing amount of time thinking about coffee tins.
But the coffee has to earn its place inside.
We're getting to know specialty roasters and sourcing partners, asking plenty of questions, and learning everything we can about the coffees we'd like to offer.
Quality matters. So does knowing where the beans come from and how the people behind them are treated.
And if a coffee tastes incredible but we can't get comfortable with its sourcing?
We pass. Done.

Four ways to enjoy coffee. Stick with what you love, try something unexpected, or do a little of both. And however you brew it, you're welcome here.
A good everyday coffee. The one you'll want to come back to tomorrow.
Explore what makes a coffee distinctive, from where it grows to how it's processed.
Because good coffee shouldn't depend on caffeine.
Unusual processing, surprising flavors, and discoveries worth sharing.

We have a thing for vintage coffee tins. The kind that stick around long after the coffee's gone.
We've been working on our own take, inspired by those old designs but made for today's coffee counters.
We're starting with the beans and bags. The tins are something we're hoping to bring along for the ride.
Future packaging concept — not part of our confirmed launch collection.
One day at a coffee shop, we started making up band names for our dogs.
Mathilda became Tilly and the Beans. It was a joke about the little beans on the bottoms of dogs' paws.
The name stuck. Somehow, it ended up on a coffee bag.
The little paw, though, belongs to all three of our dogs: Mia, Wallace, and Mathilda. It's a small reminder of the animals who've made our lives better—and the ones we hope to help find homes someday.

No countdown. No fake launch date. Just an occasional note as we get closer.
We're building our first Tilly Beans collection and looking for specialty roasting and sourcing partners who take the coffee seriously.
We'd love to learn about your coffees, your sourcing relationships, how you approach quality, and what's possible when it comes to private-label packaging and fulfillment.
We're a new company, and we're asking a lot of questions. We'd rather get this right than rush something out the door.
If you're interested in building something together, we'd love to hear from you.
